Onni Asian Moms Meetups
A Moment for Self-Care: Mindfulness and Burnout Prevention for Moms
Motherhood can be deeply rewarding, while also asking a lot of us emotionally and mentally.
• Do you sometimes wish you had more space to pause and recharge?
• As a mother, do you find opportunities to care for yourself while caring for others?
• Do you sometimes feel that the busyness of everyday life makes it harder to be as emotionally present with your family as you would like?
You’re not alone. And you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
Join us for a welcoming, non-judgmental meetup where moms can come together to reflect, connect, and explore how mindfulness and self-compassion can support our well-being.
Together we will:
• Explore parental stress and burnout, including how cultural expectations and Asian cultural contexts can shape our experiences of motherhood.
• Recognize early signs of stress and learn to listen to our own needs.
• Reflect on the belief that we should always put others first.
• Practise mindfulness and self-compassion exercises that can be woven into everyday life.
• Create a personal self-care plan to help us recharge and nurture our well-being.
Through reflection, mindfulness exercises, and sharing with others, we will create space to treat ourselves with the same kindness and care we so often give to those around us.
Come as you are
Please wear comfortable clothing so you can relax and feel at ease during our mindfulness practices. If you have any questions about the meetup, please send us an email at: connect@onnirotterdam.nl
We hope you’ll leave the meetup with simple, practical exercises that you can bring into your everyday life, helping you pause, recharge, and create little moments of self-care.

Melody Hoi Yan Tsui is a psychologist supporting the mental health of expats and internationals in the Netherlands. She works with a culturally sensitive, evidence based approach and her work is grounded in genuine curiosity and care, helping people clarify their values and needs, understand their inner patterns, and reconnect with the strengths already within them.
For more than 17 years, Melody has supported expat and international communities across Asia, Europe, and the US in both professional and volunteer roles. She works with international families and couples navigating challenges through transitions and adaptation, offering support with parenting, relationship dynamics, work–life balance, and interfamily communication.
